Restaurant chain picks Sheffield as a prime location

A GROWING chain of French bistros is to launch its first restaurant in Sheffield, following the completion of an important new retail development in the city.
Nottingham-based Le Bistro Pierre, which owns restaurants in four other locations across the country, has taken the first of three retail units on a new site close to the Somerfield supermarket on Ecclesall Road, Sheffield.
Developers J F Finnegan received legal advice from the Sheffield office of DLA Piper to ensure the efficient disposal of the site, which is located along one of the city’s most popular areas for bars and restaurants.
Andrew Wallis, associate in the real estate team at DLA Piper’s Sheffield office, said:
“Le Bistro Pierre is a successful and rapidly expanding restaurant chain which was quick to snap up this first class retail space in one of Sheffield’s most successful shopping areas.
“J F Finnegan produce a fabulous and attractive product and we are proud to have worked closely with them on the core legals to ensure the quick construction and letting of this site.”
Le Bistro Pierre will open the restaurant in January 2009. According to the developers the last two remaining retail units at the development are attracting significant interest.
