In Brief: TEG; Carcraft; Optare

A TEAM from a Yorkshire law firm has advised on the TEG Group deal announced this morning.

TEG Group, the Preston firm which develops and operates organic waste composting and energy plants, has acquired a composting operation at Hillbarton, near Exeter. 

It has bought the site from Glendale Recycling, a subsidiary of Parkwood Holdings which is also based in Preston.

Leeds law firm Walker Morris advised Teg on the deal. The team comprised Graham Mackenzie (corporate) and Nick Cannon and Emma Collins in real estate.

YORKSHIRE lawyers have advised on the Carcraft MBO.

Car dealer Carcraft has been bought by a management team led by chief executive Robin Bridge.

The Rochdale business, which has sales of £125m, has been acquired with backing from Apollo Ventures from Darren and Noel McKee.

Peter Wood and Catherine Hemsworth from the Leeds officer of Pinsent Masons advised Bridge. They said: “We are delighted to work with Robin Bridge and the management team at such an exciting time for the business. The long established team are poised to take it into a new era.”

BUS manufacturer Optare announced a major contract win this morning.

The Yorkshire business said it has received an order for 17 Solo electric buses at a value of £3.6m from Nottingham city Council.

The order was partially funded by round 4 of the Government’s Green Bus fund.

Delivery of the vehicles will start in July.
