Dentist gets teeth stuck into new business following investment

A DENTIST has opened her first, independent practice in a North Yorkshire market town following a £300,000 cash injection.

Claire Lawson has opened CTL Dental in Richmond having spent the last 15 years of her career working at Newcastle Dental Hospital and various dental practices and community services within the North East.

Lawson identified a niche in the market and a requirement for a dental practice in Richmond which could offer a full service as well as practical opening times, on evenings and weekends.

Following more than £300,000 of investment, CTL Dental has created three jobs so far.

Lawson said: “For many years I have worked all over the North East and Yorkshire with some great organisations. However, I realised there was a real need for a dental practice offering a full range services at practical times in the Richmond area.

“I’ve has many years’ experience of working with all types of patients- especially those who may be slightly nervous. That’s normal and there are techniques to make the experience a whole lot better. These days there are many qualifications available and I’ve studied to the highest levels and am now keen to share my experience with people in Richmond and the surrounding areas.”
