Interior design retailer expands with latest venture

HOME interiors company James Brindley has continued its plans for expansion by venturing into furniture manufacture.
Established in 1927, Harrogate-based James Brindley is a family business that has grown and evolved over the years, from fabric house to luxury home furnishings and a thriving interior design service.
This latest venture sees the company expand into product design and manufacture with the launch of ‘Lloyd Loom by James Brindley’.
To support this development, managing director Simon Grafton has bought a new 7,000 sq ft warehouse on Ripon Road and created 12 new jobs.
Having already secured 14 stockists across the UK, all sales and distribution for Lloyd Loom by James Brindley is handled at the Harrogate offices.
“Manufacturing our own furniture is a natural progression for us as interiors specialists and the Lloyd Loom collection is an inspirational range that fits perfectly into Brindley’s signature classic style,” said Grafton.
“Genuine Lloyd Loom furniture is renowned for its durability, comfort and timeless elegance. We’ve worked together with Lloyd Loom industry experts and added our own design and retail expertise to improve on those intrinsic qualities,” added Justine Kirkham, head of product design.
As well as two high street showrooms in Harrogate and Wetherby, James Brindley has become a globally recognised brand with its fabric and homewares collections reaching more than 30 countries.
“We look forward to introducing the new James Brindley furniture collections to our loyal following throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, America and Australasia,” Grafton said.
