PR firm acquired

MARKETING consultancy fuse8 has acquired Radiant, the PR agency established by former Propaganda public relations director Rob Smith.
Founded three years ago, Leeds-based Radiant has clients including law firm Gordons and York-based homebuilder Shepherd Homes.
The deal sees Mr Smith become a director and shareholder of fellow Leeds company fuse8 with Radiant’s four-strong team relocating from the Round Foundry Media Centre to fuse8’s headquarters on Thorpe Park Business Park.
Nigel Hunter, fuse8’s managing director, said: “Rob is a highly respected PR practitioner who delivers sound strategic consultancy and great tactical implementation. We worked alongside him and the Radiant team on a number of projects over the course of 12 months and were extremely impressed by what they achieved.
“During this time, it quickly became apparent that we had identical values and a shared vision of delivering great results through a combination of outstanding ideas and agile technology. By acquiring Radiant, fuse8 has significantly strengthened its communications offer and with Rob as a board director we are looking forward to him shaping the continued development of the company.”
Established in 2000, fuse8 has an annual fee income of £4.5m and employs 75 people located in offices in Leeds, London and Chelyabinsk, Russia.
Clients include inward investment agency Gateway to London, STORM Watches, and domestic appliance manufacturer Miele.
