Donald Trump backs Yorkshire business book

A NEW book written by a life and sales expert from Yorkshire has attracted praise from one of the world’s most famous business tycoons.
Media and property heavyweight Donald Trump has hailed Darren Kelly’s new book, Hello Profit, as one that can “serve as a mentor to anyone interested in succeeding.”
Kelly, who is the host of the annual Buy Yorkshire Conference, said his inspiration for came from a meeting with Yorkshire’s richest man, billionaire Lord Kirkham.
He said: “Hello was the first word Lord Kirkham said to me in our first meeting. Profit was the last word. I was blown away by Lord Kirkham’s authentic desire and skill for selfless service. I learnt that his success came from always putting other people first. Hello symbolises an attitude to customise and communicate a service and product to suit today’s customers complicated lives. Profit symbolises the perpetual stream of income that comes after quality, innovation, and service have created trust and value.”
He added: “Hello Profit is a modern values centred strategy for selling professional services and products. It’s based on studies and interviews of over 50 of the world’s greatest ever salespeople from the world of B2B and B2C sales, show business, sport, and politics. It is packed with over 500 proven and innovative tactics, techniques, and observations to reposition your life and your career. If you are a leader, an entrepreneur, a salesperson, or non-sales type, this book will serve you and today’s customer forever.”
The book has also been praised by Dermot Desmond, the owner of Celtic FC, and Yorkshire business man Lawrence Tomlinson, chairman of LNT Group and British Government adviser.
Kelly said: “I wanted to debunk the many myths about selling. The book focuses on the intellectual, spiritual, and physical aspects of a great salesperson’s make up. It helps them move gracefully and successfully on their stage whether that stage is a boardroom, a customer’s office, a showroom, or in the media spotlight.
“Trust and finance are the biggest problems in selling any product and service today. The word selling is considered a dirty word by some people. They presume it’s a game for sharks, but the truth is so much different. Selling is an art and a science that should never rely on selling deceit or customer negligence.”
