Institute of Chartered Accountants announce details of conference

THE Sheffield, Humberside and West Yorkshire Societies of Chartered
Accountants have announced the details of this year’s Scarborough Conference.

Eugene Taylor, director of business and commercial banking at RBS, will be the keynote speaker and will address delegates about the banks’ current approach to SME finance.

Tax consultant Dr Ros Martin, John Selwood, a chartered accountant and an independent training consultant, Sue Bradshaw, who joined as director of BTG Tax following six years with PwC’s tax investigations team, will also speak at the event.

The conference will be rounded off with an insolvency update and question time session with Ted Wetton, licensed insolvency practitioner and chartered accountant, John Roche, insolvency solicitor, and Hugo Groves, insolvency barrister from Enterprise Chambers.

Comedian Steve Womack will entertain at the conference dinner on the Friday evening.

The event takes place on October 7, 8 and 9 at the Royal Hotel.
