Logistics firm moves to expand

LOGISTICS company Sabre Ocean Solutions has relocated to larger premises as it continues to expand.
Following two years of rapid expansion in Little Germany, Bradford, the firm has outgrown its offices in Burnett Street and transfers to larger premises in Cleckheaton this month. The move will enable Sabre to continue to grow and expand its target market beyond West Yorkshire.
Sabre has taken over a spacious Victorian Villa on Whitcliffe Road, Cleckheaton. Following a six month refurbishment programme, the former insurance underwriters’ premises now provides new offices for Sabre’s expanding team.
Earlier this year, Sabre appointed Josie Swales as financial controller, followed in April by the appointments of import manager Lisa Kirby and sales manager Ross Harrison. The latest addition to the Sabre team will be an apprentice who is set to join them next month.
Launched by managing director Lee Meadowcroft in December 2010, Sabre has enjoyed rapid growth, doubling its annual turnover to £5.1m in the past twelve months.
Meadowcroft spent fifteen years working for some of the region’s top logistics organisations before launching Sabre.
He said: “The move to larger premises enables to us to continue to grow at a steady pace while retaining a clear focus on service. It takes us a step closer to our long term aim of becoming one of the leading logistics companies in the North of England.”
