Communications agency makes two acquisitions

COMMUNICATIONS agency Home has acquired a further two businesses.

The agency based in Leeds, London, Gibraltar and Sydney, has incorporated a field marketing offer into its portfolio with the acquisition of Rectangle Group, while expanding its healthcare proposition further with the purchase of PLM Healthcare.

Rectangle Group specialise in face-to-face marketing, with specific experience in financial and gambling sectors. Nik Ingham, founder of the business, will continue to head up the team of seven moving into Home’s offices in Leeds.

Home, which employs more than 140 staff and has a turnover of over £25m, has also bought a majority stake in PLM Healthcare, which specialises in providing marketing services to the NHS and private healthcare sectors. Home will now take over the implementation of web builds, search, PPC, brand creation and advertising, as well as combining efforts with its already establish healthcare division, Home Digital. Founder and managing director, Nick Mayhew, will also continue to drive this offer forward under the Home banner.

These two procurements are Home’s third and fourth in 2014.  Dave Sewards, CEO of Home, said: “Rectangle Group and PLM Healthcare are fantastic agencies in their own right, but as part of the wider Home group we feel we can offer a better service as one. The purchase of these continues our ongoing growth plans, providing a full-service marketing approach, under the Home roof. We are excited to boost the team as well as work in collaboration with both Nik Ingham and Nick Mayhew.”
