COMMERCIAL vehicle leasing firm EuroTrail is to expand its fleet of vehicles to cater for strong demand following a £750,000 cash injection.

The Morley-based firm is also boosting the number of staff, from 10 to 18 after securing the funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial.

Established in 1997, EuroTrail provides a range of services from vehicle rental and asset finance to contract hire, vehicle sourcing and now logistics.

The company is a family run business, with husband and wife founders and owners Alan and Carolyn Steers supported on a day-to-day basis by their sons Adam and Mathew.

The company has annual turnover of £5m.

Adam Steers, operations director, EuroTrail, said: “These are exciting times for the business as we expand both our fleet and our workforce. Santander has been integral to our success in taking the next step forward in our growth strategy and we’re delighted to be working with the team.”

Dan Houman, relationship director, Santander Corporate & Commercial, said: “Some of the UK’s most successful ventures are family businesses that continue to grow and develop over several generations. In the case of EuroTrail, it’s clear that there is definite ambition to take the business forward into a new phase and we have every confidence that it will enjoy huge success.”
