Turnover to be tripled by strong software group

A SOFTWARE development group has plans in place to triple its £10m turnover and significantly increase its international footprint.

North Yorkshire’s Teleware group currently has a turnover of just over £10.4m, but as demand for its services rises and working styles change, chief executive Steve Haworth has a three-year plan of growth in place.

Within the next three years, the Thirsk-headquartered business will increase its head office team of 85 people by around another 20 employees and launch into Asia and Europe, following its recent expansion into the US.

Haworth said: “There will be continued investment in new technology and we are looking at innovation from within and innovation with customers and partners to create new products. We’ll also be looking at innovation with the local universities.

“The markets are growing both at home and abroad at the moment and we can triple our turnover within the next three years.”

The Teleware group, which was launched in 1991, has developed an in-network solution that captures mobile phone communications and meets the regulatory demands of the encroaching financial regulation overhaul, the Dodd-Frank Act. It also develops software for remote workers who spend a bulk of their working day out of the office.

Haworth said there are new opportunities in the legal profession and with marketing agencies for the business.
