Work on new wine café underway

Italian family eyes wine café opportunity in Leeds

WORK is underway to transform a disused hair salon in central Leeds into an authentic Italian wine café.

The family-run Sicilian business – Veeno Wine Company – has invested in a unit on Duncan Street and interior fit out specialist Fraser Projects is tackling a three week refurbishment contract. Having successfully set up an Italian wine café in Manchester last November, this second project in Leeds is part of Veeno’s ongoing expansion plan.

Set to generate a minimum of eight jobs, Veeno joint founder Nino Caruso, said: “We have done our research and believe we’ve found a fantastic opportunity to bring an authentic Italian leisure experience to the people of Leeds.

“This business model has proven popular so far, and we plan to continue the adventure in other UK cities moving forward.”
