String of lettings at shopping centre following £1m investment; Eddisons to market industrial space; Distribution depot sold

A STRING of lettings have been completed at a North Yorkshire shopping centre following a £1m investment by its owners.

On the back of the investment to improve the signage, lifts and toilets at Brunswick Shopping Centre in Scarborough, M&G Real Estate has attracted retailers Select, Roman Originals, Retail Phone Accessories and The Gift Company.

Select has opened in its new 4,947 sq ft store, taking on a ten year lease. Mobile Phone Accessories has taken a 514 sq ft kiosk unit also on a ten year lease, while The Gift Company has signed for 617 sq ft on a five year lease.

Meanwhile 1,702 sq ft has been let to Roman Originals.

We were committed to providing a refreshed retail offer to the centre, building on its already strong fashion credentials, and the addition of retailers like Select and Roman Originals certainly achieves that. We are delighted to have them on board.”

THE Huddersfield office of chartered surveyors Eddisons has been instructed to let around 77,000 sq ft of industrial space in Kirklees.

This includes more than 73,000 sq ft at Union Works in Heckmondwike. The recently refurbished units on Union Street start from 15,000 sq ft and are available in part, or as a whole, from £2.50 per sq ft.

Eddisons is acting on behalf of long standing retained client Wharfedale Finance. The joint agent is Michael Steel & Co.

Meanwhile, a unit extending to around 3,700 sq ft at the Bradley Junction Industrial Estate, off the A62 in Huddersfield, is available at £5.00 per sq ft.

Eddisons has been appointed by the landlord Cerros Properties.

ACTING for private clients Carter Towler has sold a distribution depot on Whitehall Road in Leeds.

The property on Whitehall Industrial Estate, is a purpose built distribution depot with a single storey warehouse and two storey frontage offices totalling around 12,700 sq ft, and is let to Fedex UK on a full repairing and insuring lease for 10 year term.

The investment has been sold to a London-based property company for more than £700,000.

The purchasers were represented by Gent Visick.

WSB Property Consultants has been appointed sole agents by Jersey-based Crumbie to advise on the sale and letting of offices at Pavilion Business Park in Leeds.

 

Pavilion Business Park provides more than 40,000 sq ft of office space offering a range of unit sizes across 19 buildings.

 

Current occupiers include British Association for Adoption & Fostering, CTA Accountants and United News.

 

Works are due to begin shortly to upgrade the park with enhancements to the external fabric of the buildings together with improvements to the landscaping and public realm.
