Benenden Health acquires Edinburgh business

HEALTHCARE provider Benenden Health has completed the acquisition of insurance brokerage Keegan & Pennykid.

Marc Bell, chief executive of York-based Benenden, said: “I am delighted to welcome the directors and staff of Keegan & Pennykid into our organisation and look forward to working with them to grow our mutual community alongside our core healthcare service.  We will continue to operate with the existing management and staff and under the Keegan & Pennykid brand.”

Benenden Health was founded in 1905 and has a membership of almost 900,000 people across the UK. In 2013 it reported income of more than £90m.
