In Brief: HeatShot; Frontline Recruitment; Springfield Solutions; CallCredit

HEATSHOT the Yorkshire company behind a revolutionary new product for cleaning and de-icing car windscreens, has signed a deal with Mercedes-Benz which it has described as “significant and ground-breaking”.
The company, based in Hunslet, Leeds, has signed an exclusive distribution deal which will see the company supply the whole of Mercedes-Benz’s Daimler bus fleet.
Kirk Allan, the managing director of Heat Shot, explained that this was the most significant contract that company had signed since its foundation two years ago.
“For our first two years, we have invested heavily in research and development to ensure that our product is not just the market leader, but is also completely unique. Now we are reaping the benefits. This new deal means that our product will be fitted as an option into Mercedes-Benz buses at their manufacturing depot in Mannheim, Germany. It is a long-term partnership agreement and financial commitment with Daimler bus fleet,” he said.

FRONTLINE Recruitment is to restructure and expand as it gears up for growth.
The Bradford-based recruitment specialist, which has six offices throughout the UK, will be looking to expand its brand by offering franchise opportunities to key recruitment professionals looking to further their career, opening new branches through organic growth and expanding its on-site offering. The firm will be expanding its national footprint through the franchise offer.
“We want to encourage more ownership of the Frontline Recruitment brand through the extension of our branch network,” co-owner Tony Wilmot said. “We will be tapping into the wealth of entrepreneurial talent out there in the recruitment industry and encouraging them to run their own operation and help people back into work – all with the back-up and safety net of the Frontline brand behind them.
“Frontline has grown organically since we set up the company in 2000, and now is the time to take it to the next level. We’re looking to team up with driven people who want to be in at the beginning of an exciting new venture.”
The company hopes to push turnover past the £15m mark for the first time in 2014.

DIGITAL printer Springfield Solutions is on course to print 100m labels in one year for the first time in its 40-year history.
The labels and packaging specialist, based in Thomas Street, Hull, printed 62m labels by the end of June, putting it on course to smash the milestone target by the end of the year.
The increase has come about after the company invested £750,000 to transform its print room from a mixture of analogue and digital presses to all digital – a process it completed in 2012 – which saw the company print 93m labels in 2013, a 26% increase compared to the previous year.
That figure is continuing to grow as earlier this year the company invested a further near £1m in Europe’s first Screen Truepress Ink Jet L350UV digital label press as well as a finishing line from Bridlington firm AB Graphics.
