Knowledge hub to launch in Yorkshire

A GOVERNMENT and public sector (G&PS) knowledge hub is being launched in Yorkshire.

The hub, launched by PwC, will service clients across the North with Yorkshire-based Ian Looker, the firm’s G&PS northern leader, heading up the practice.

To support this, PwC has made two new appointments. Hamish Clarke has been newly promoted to partner and will lead the healthcare side, and partner, Ray Mills, returns to the regional firm from London to lead the G&PS offering covering infrastructure finance, economic development and regeneration.

Ian Looker, partner and PwC’s head of G&PS in the North said: “The public sector is facing challenging times but remains a highly dynamic market where there is a real demand for reform and significant changes in public service delivery. The hub’s focus will be to work closely with our clients so they can deliver value and help our clients deliver the current agenda of public sector reform and economic growth.

“I am delighted that Ray has joined the team, bringing his expertise and experience of working on significant regeneration projects in London and the South East. His appointment, Hamish’s promotion, and our ambitious recruitment plans for the hub, reflect the firm’s commitment to having the best team of specialists available to help our clients be successful.”
