Waldeck creates new jobs in Hull

DEMAND for its services in the nuclear and renewable energy sectors has resulted in Waldeck creating new jobs in Hull.

The consultancy has create 15 new energy and infrastructure roles, ranging from civil and structural engineers to CAD and BIM technicians. They will be based at its offices at The Deep Business Centre in Hull.

These new positions make up about a quarter of Waldeck’s current recruitment drive that will see about 60 new positions filled across its 12 UK offices.

Since the beginning of 2008, Waldeck has quadrupled in size, working together with some of the UK’s biggest companies including ABP, EDF, Jaguar Landrover, Premier Foods, ProLogis, and Ocado. Waldeck is currently working on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, including Siemens Greenport Hull and London Bridge Station.

Paul Waldeck, director and founder of Waldeck, said: “The next 25 years will see a boom in infrastructure building with an estimated £110bn of investments forecasted for energy related projects by 2020. Nuclear power generation is expected to play a significant part in this due to the ever increasing demand for energy, reduction in fossil fuel operations and concerns over energy security.

“Our business is growing rapidly to help meet these infrastructure demands, and in order to continue to offer the most effective and efficient solutions for our clients, we’re looking for the best people possible to strengthen our delivery teams.”
