Wastecare boosts staff

WASTECARE, the hazardous waste recycler, has boosted its staff numbers.
The Leeds-based recycling company now has a total workforce of 300 – boosting the team by 39 new members – a rise of 18%.
The new recruits have been spread across the group, with 17 joining WasteCare itself and 22 joining PackCare, its industrial packaging subsidiary.
Peter Hunt, WasteCare’s chief executive, said: “The increase in our workforce reflects the demand for our services, which has never been greater. As a result, our collection fleet has grown by 10% to 110 vehicles this year and our PackCare workforce has actually doubled in the past six months. I believe that our business model, offering low-cost recycling, is the right one for these tough times.”
