In brief: Pilgrimage flights for LBA; PKF seminar addresses tax

SKY Fly Connections is to operate three special flights from Leeds Bradford International Airport to Jeddah and Madinah for the first time this year during the Hajj annual pilgrimage to Mecca.

The Hajj is the largest annual pilgrimage in the world and is associated with the life of Muhammad.

The ritual of the pilgrimage is considered to be an obligation that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by every able-bodied Muslim who can afford to do so and involves thousands of people, who simultaneously converge on Mecca for the week of the Hajj, and perform a series of rituals.

Sky Fly Connections are operating two flights to Jeddah and one to Madinah from Leeds Bradford Airport for this important religious event which is taking place between 06 and 09 December 2008.

Tony Hallwood, Commercial & Aviation Development Director at LBIA comments “Leeds Bradford Airport serves a diverse and multi cultural region so it is fantastic that our customers are able to attend this extremely important event and fly from their local airport.”
