Appointments: IoD; Mazars; Irwin Mitchell

PAT Coyle has been appointed the new chair of the East Yorkshire branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD).

She succeeds Richard Tuplin who steps down after seven years in the role.

Coyle is client relations director at Hull-based Rollits where she has worked for over 20 years. She has been an active member of the East Yorkshire branch since 2007.

Natalie Sykes, the regional director for the IoD in Yorkshire and the Humber, said: “Pat brings a wealth of business experience and knowledge of the IoD to the role of chair – the East Yorkshire branch couldn’t be in better hands as it starts a new chapter in its history.

“Richard is to be congratulated for a very successful period at the helm of the branch, growing the membership and making the IoD’s voice very clearly heard across the Humber business community.”

ACCOUNTANCY firm Mazars has strengthened its Leeds office with the appointment of two new partners.

Rob Burton has been promoted to corporate finance partner and Craig Manson joins the firm as audit and advisory partner from Garbutt and Elliott.

Rob Burton, a previous corporate finance director at Mazars, has been promoted to partner. He has been with Mazars for nine years acting as a corporate finance advisor. He is well known in the corporate finance community and has worked on key deals this year including Conservatory Outlet and JPD Contracts.

Mason joins Mazars as an audit and advisory partner in Leeds following 11 years as a partner at Garbutt and Elliott, principally working with owner managed businesses.

THE Sheffield office of Irwin Mitchell has boosted its corporate and commercial team with the appointment of solicitor Natalie Hager.

She joins Irwin Mitchell from British Telecom where she worked in the organisation’s corporate and major transactions team.

She has a wide range of corporate expertise and at Irwin Mitchell will work with the team to provide its corporate clients with legal support in relation to acquisitions and disposals, private equity investments, joint ventures, reorganisations and general company law issues.
