Summit Media claims another client win

SUMMIT Media has added the UK’s largest branded student accommodation company UNITE Group to its growing client base.

The latest contract win means that North Cliffe-based Summit will be responsible for increasing UNITE’s digital presence at a national level, creating greater online brand awareness among students and generating online bookings.

The digital marketing firm has already been involved in redesigning UNITE’s website, which allows users to search and book properties online with ease, as well as taking virtual tours of the properties and managing their account online.

Tony Patterson, Summit’s head of online marketing, said: “UNITE already has a good online presence and it’s our job to build on this to ensure that it stays one step ahead of the competition.

“Every student in the country has access to the internet, either at home or at their place of study, and we’ll be taking full advantage of that by encouraging them to interact with, and, ultimately, book their accommodation with, UNITE online.”

UNITE’s sales and marketing director, Nathan Goddard, said: “Summit demonstrated an impressive understanding of our business and a clear vision on how best to amplify the UNITE brand digitally.”

The win follows Summit’s recent appointment by Ethical Superstore.com to develop and enhance its online presence.

The company, which currently employs 35 staff, already boasts household names such as Comet, Argos, Play.com, Shelly’s Shoes, Barratts and Hallmark Cards, among its clients.

The company also employs more than 50 members of staff at its European headquarters and technology centre in Prague.

Now a Tech Track 100 firm, the company is among the UK’s fastest growing private technology firms and is anticipating staff numbers to swell to more than 70 over the next three years.

An ethically responsible firm, it has also pioneered a prisoner rehabilitation programme that has taught 250 eligible prison inmates digital media and marketing skills during the last seven years helping them to find jobs on their release.
