Football world’s eyes to be focused on The Deep

THE eyes of the football world will be focused on The Deep in Hull tonight as the venue hosts the draw for the third round of the FA Cup.

The third round has a special place in the romanticism that surrounds the FA Cup, as Premier League and Championship clubs enter the draw, bringing with it the opportunity for a giant-killing act.

Former England captain Alan Shearer will conduct the draw in partnership with Paul Adamson, a grassroots coach with the East Riding County FA, in a show broadcast live on BBC2, where references to big fish and minnows can be expected in abundance.
