Shouksmiths announces new contract wins for student accommodation projects

BUILDING service engineers J H Shouksmith and Sons is celebrating a raft of new contract wins.

The first of the new contracts, with a total value of more than £4.4m, is to deliver the £1.2m mechanical and electrical building services for The Edge – a new student accommodation block on Burley Road, Leeds, where it is working with main contractor Tolent Construction.
 
York’s Shouksmiths has also been appointed to deliver the mechanical and electrical building services to the Asquith House and Austin Hall student accommodation developments on Servia Road, Leeds.  The project value to Shouksmiths is for £1.8m and work is due to start on site in the New Year, with completion due in August 2015 in time for the new intake of students.
 
The company has also just started on site on a £1.4m mechanical and electrical project at the Court Rooms in Bristol.
