Mortgage Award for Yorkshire Bank

YORKSHIRE Bank has been named Best Regional Mortgage Lender by
Your Mortgage magazine.

It is the latest accolade for the bank, which has won awards for
its business banking service and call centre operations in the last
two years.

Pauline McCallion, editor of Your Mortgage, said: “The
mortgage market is constantly changing, no more so than in the past
five years. Yorkshire Bank has demonstrated to our judges that it
has, not only acknowledged, but also been at the forefront of these
changes, particularly in the development of flexible mortgages.

“This coupled with the service and local knowledge it
offers mortgage customers has made it a winner.”

In addition to receiving the Best Regional Mortgage Lender
award, Leeds-based Yorkshire Bank was highly commended in for its
offset mortgage offering.

Offset mortgages enable customers to reduce their interest
payments when compared to traditional mortgages – sometimes saving
many thousands of pounds – and clear their home loan much sooner by
taking into account any savings or credit balances they may
have.

Also collecting an award was Yorkshire's sister bank,
Clydesdale. Clydesdale Bank was named Best Mortgage Lender in
Scotland by Your Mortgage for the fourth year running.

Both banks received their prizes at the Your Mortgage Awards in
London on November 15.
