Appointments: New MD for Callcredit division; PwC makes senior appointment; Four new partners at Winstons

CALLCREDIT Information Group has today announced the appointment of Will Lowe as managing director for the marketing solutions division.

Mr Lowe joins Callcredit from dunnhumby – which helps retailers and consumer-goods companies analyse data to improve profit, loyalty and customer experiences – where he spent 10 years in a variety of roles within the UK and internationally. Mr Lowe was also responsible for monetising the data and media assets for Tesco in the UK and overseas. Before joining dunnhumby he worked in brand marketing for Nestle and Diageo.

Mr Lowe said: “I am delighted to be joining Callcredit at what is a very exciting time for the business. Callcredit has grown its market presence extensively over recent years. My intention is to help the business continue to deliver innovation, market leading service and drive the existing positive growth momentum forward across the many sectors in which it operates.”

Last year the Leeds-headquartered credit reference business announced the appointment of a new CEO as longstanding chief executive John McAndrew stepped down.  Mike Gordon, previously executive vice president for sales, services and marketing at California-based business analytic software company Fair Isaac Corp (FICO), will succeed John McAndrew, who has been with the company since its launch, 14 years ago.

Mr Moore added: “The improving economy and growing business confidence over the last 12 months has led to a more active deals market, and so I am excited by the opportunity to build upon my experience and lead PwC’s corporate finance practice in Yorkshire.”

The firm, which has around 900 employees across its Leeds, Sheffield and Hull offices, recently appointed five new equity partners in Yorkshire, and promoted three new directors. It also increased its graduate places by 36%, recruiting 79 graduates and ten higher apprentices.
