Web developer enters administration

YORKSHIRE website developer Chapter Eight has gone into administration.

The business ceased trading last week, leading to 18 redundancies.

Leeds-based Chapter Eight was founded in 2002 by managing director Mario Thomas. It was based at The Basilica on King Charles Street and provided web design, online retail and other software products to brands including Coca Cola, Aston Villa Football Club and Sock Shop.

Clients’ websites will remain live in the short-term following a deal by three directors who have agreed  to buy certain assets of the company.
