‘Major coup’ for Lambert Smith Hampton as it appoints Head of Industrial

LAMBERT SMITH HAMPTON believes it has put a crucial pillar in place with the appointment of Simon Rhodes to head its industrial and logistics team in Yorkshire.
Mr Rhodes joins from Colliers, where he led the industrial agency team for Yorkshire and North East.
His deal highlights include the 850,000 sq ft disposal for Kimberly Clark at Barton upon Humber and advising Standard Life in the marketing of 930,000 sq ft of warehouse accommodation in Doncaster, of which 415,000 sq ft was let to Amazon.
In his new role, Mr Rhodes will work with some of LSH’s key clients including Harworth Estates, Hermes Parcelnet, Legal & General, Scania and Wolseley.
Matthew Scrimshaw, head of Yorkshire and Northeast region for LSH, said: “This appointment is a major coup for Lambert Smith Hampton. Simon is incredibly well respected in the marketplace and brings with him a wealth of experience as well as an unrivalled network of contacts across the north of England.
“Simon will join at a crucial point for LSH as we look to build on a highly successful 2014 that saw the team secure a number of key deals as well as a strong pipeline of work. All bodes well for a very strong 2015.”
Mr Rhodes added: “There is no doubt that we are seeing a strong upturn in the market with a significant increase in development activity and occupier requirements, there is much to be optimistic about in the coming year.
“This is a great time to be joining Lambert Smith Hampton and I am looking forward to working with what is already a well established and respected industrial team.”
