Kitchen manufacturer in administration

ADMINISTRATORS are in the process of selling the assets of a well-established North Yorkshire kitchen manufacturer which has ceased trading.

Julian Pitts and Nick Reed of Begbies Traynor in Leeds were appointed joint administrators of Chantry Kitchens on January 30.

Founded in 1993, the bespoke kitchen manufacturer and installer has two showrooms, in Harrogate and Tockwith.

All 18 staff, including two directors, were made redundant prior to the administration and the business has ceased trading while a purchaser is sought.

Mr Pitts said: “Unfortunately, the business ran into problems when it failed to generate sufficient orders going forward and encountered cash flow difficulties.

“We have been marketing the business since our appointment and, following discussions with several interested parties for the sale of some of the business’ assets, we anticipate concluding a sale in the near future.”
