Partner promotion at PKF
ACCOUNTANTS and business advisors PKF has promoted Billy Cairns to the position of partner.
Mr Cairns has been promoted to partner for VAT services, covering an area including Leeds, reflecting his achievements in developing indirect tax related work and expanding the dedicated VAT team.
He joined PKF as a director five years ago and has more than 25 years experience of dealing with VAT services.
Mr Cairns said: “In recent years, there has been a considerable increase in demand from our clients for more detailed advice on VAT at value for money rates. In the light of the Government’s temporary changes in VAT effective from 1 December, this trend looks set to continue. Businesses increasingly require greater levels of advice and information about how to work most effectively with the VAT system to ensure that they gain the full benefits.
“Over the last five years we have developed the team extensively in the north of England, employing a further seven experts. We have also devised a number of simple, non-aggressive products that can provide significant cash flow and permanent savings for businesses. In my new role I am looking forward to developing such services.”
