BNP PARIBAS and financial services firm UBS are set to make a move in Leeds city centre, relocating to the Minerva office building.
UBS has leased 2,500 sq ft on the 8th floor on a 10 year term.BNP Paribas has relocated from the neighbouring Capitol office building into a 1,600 sq ft, 1st floor suite on a 5 year lease.
Evans Property Group secured the two new lettings at its Minerva office building. CBRE and JLL are the agents on Minerva.
The investment into Minerva and its neighbouring office building, Capitol, forms part of an overall ongoing £20m programme of works transforming the whole Bond Court area of Leeds City Centre which will include a new 90 bed 4* hotel and extensive public realm works.
Since unveiling the refurbishment of the 30,568 sq ft of Grade A, law firm Gateley signed up for 7,500 sq ft of offices on the 8th and 9th floors within the building and most recently, existing tenant CDI AndersElite expanded into a larger suite to facilitate the firm’s expansion plans.
The agents are presently handling interest in the last available office space.
Alan Syers, portfolio director at Evans Property Group, said; “We were confident that the time was right to deliver this new Grade A space as supply is so severely limited in core locations within the city.
“We are delighted to have attracted and retained such high-profile occupiers and also with how quickly the space has been snapped up.
“The current status of supply and demand means that the interest in the recently launched Capitol is also attracting significant interest and we are set to emulate the success of Minerva there.”
Alex Hailey, associate director of office agency at CBRE, said: “The high quality finishes, the prime location and the ability to split floors to provide suites from 1,500 sq ft have all contributed to Minerva’s success.
“We are looking forward to welcoming more discerning occupiers to what we believe is one of the best quality buildings in the City in the near future.”
