Bilfinger Europa wins £5m entertainment complex contract

LEEDS’ Bilfinger Europa has won a contract worth over £5m at a leisure and entertainment complex.

The three year deal contracts Bilfinger to manage the facilities management at the £150m Resorts World Birmingham, a development from Genting UK, at the National Exhibition Centre campus, Resorts World is scheduled to open in summer 2015.

The 538,000 sq. ft. complex comprises an outlet shopping centre with 50 units, a hotel with 178 four-star bedrooms plus several five-star suites and an Asian-themed spa. In addition there will be a 12 restaurants and bars, an 11-screen IMAX cinema, a casino and a multi-use banqueting and conference centre – all under one roof.
