Leeds developer secures North West’s biggest industrial deal of 2015

A TECHNOLOGY logistics business taking space at a £50m Lancashire business park is thought to be the biggest deal in the region for 2015 so far, and was secured by Leeds developer Eshton.

The 543,620 sq ft national distribution centre at Burnley Bridge Business Park which has been taken by technology distribution firm consists of offices, two mezzanine floors and office space, and the deal also allows for a further 200,000 sq ft of space to expand in the future.

Exertis distributes over 350 brands and works with 14,000 customers across Europe and will join YESSS Electrical, Equinox Building Services and Townsend Music, with Exertis being the biggest occupier to date.

James Chapman, managing director of Eshton, said: “We believe this is the largest distribution property deal in the region this year and it is not only great news for Burnley Bridge Business Park but also for the local area.

“The fact that the park has attracted a major player of this calibre to establish such a substantial distribution hub here demonstrates once again the huge potential of this site and reiterates Burnley’s reputation as the Department of Innovation & Skills’ ‘Most Enterprising Area of the UK 2013′.”
