Blue Logic gets creative with acquisition

MARKETING agency Blue Logic Digital has continued on the expansion trail, acquiring creative firm Crazy Horse.

Barnsley-based creative firm Crazy Horse bolsters the brand development and creative design services in Blue Logic Digital’s portfolio.

Blue Logic Digital previously acquired the assets of defunct Leeds agency Cool Pink.

The firm now expects to grow its turnover by 50% following the acquisition.

Parent company Blue Logic was funded in 2007 as an IT support firm, and now employs 66 people with a turnover of £5.8m for 2014.

Director of Blue Logic Digital, Roy Moody, said: “We’ve been looking to grow our creative offering for some time, as our services have traditionally focused on the more technical aspects of web and app development and SEO.

“We have worked with Crazy Horse Creative on several projects and have always been really impressed with the team’s diverse range of creative skills, so we decided to approach them about joining forces.

“The acquisition will enable us to offer a full suite of creative services to clients and allow us to pitch for more creative projects going forward, which is an integral part of our growth plan.”

Rich Meads, who owned Crazy Horse Creative prior to the acquisition, will take on the role of head of creative at Blue Logic Digital and brings with him Beth French, who will operate as a creative designer at the agency.

Rich added: “Client’s increasingly want to deal with one agency for all their design and digital marketing needs, so when Roy approached us, we could see the huge benefits for both businesses and decided to become part of Blue Logic Digital.”
