Appointments: Sheffield Law Society, The Piece Hall, Michael Lewis Solicitors

A VICE PRESIDENT of Sheffield Law Society has now been appointed.
Natalie Cosgrove, a clinical negligence specialist at hlw Keeble Hawson since January, has taken on the role after having served as deputy vice president at the Law Society for the past year.
She said: “Having been involved with the Sheffield & District Law Society for several years as a committee member and deputy vice president, I am proud to be vice president and to build further on the society’s valuable work.”
hlw Keeble Hawson is one of the region’s largest law firms, with offices in Sheffield, Doncaster and Leeds.

Tourist destination The Piece Hall, which is currently undergoing a £19.2m restoration, has appointed a chief executive, Sam Mason.
The Grade I listed building in Halifax is being transformed and is set to re-open in 2016.
Chairperson of the Piece Hall Trust, Wayne Bowser said: “This key appointment is an important step in our plan to revitalise the stunning historic cloth hall that once was a magnet for the world’s woollen trade.
“Sam has the ideal CV for the job, with the perfect mix of commercial, creative and heritage experience to create a 21st century visitor attraction in this iconic Georgian landmark which is a complete one-off.
“One of Sam’s first responsibilities will be to attract businesses to the Piece Hall which match the calibre of the location, and create a successful retail, leisure and cultural destination, where visitors will enjoy new experiences in a very special setting.”

Michael Lewis Solicitors has added to its team with the appointment of marketing manager Andrew Scaife.
Mr Scaife has previously been employed at Irwin Mitchell and Aviva, specialising in digital channels.
