Appointments: Volkswagen; Genus Law; Schofield Sweeney

VOLKSWAGEN SKIPTON has appointed Emma Spedding as dealer principal.
Emma Spedding has been with Sytner Group since 2010, and was most recently part of the group’s Mercedes-Benz finance team.
She said: “My main focus is on maintaining Skipton’s very high customer satisfaction survey rankings, which enables the company to benefit from repeat business from loyal clients.
“There are also opportunities to increase sales and to create more jobs for local people. We have been fortunate to attract very good people and have low staff turnover, giving us a solid base on which to build a bigger team.”

GENUS LAW has appointed finance professional David Wilton as its finance director.
Mr Wilton has previously worked in Leeds with PwC and Rothschild and more recently has held finance director roles at Adler and Allan, WYG and Bellrock.
In his role he will also be supporting the business development activities as Genus Law continues to grow on a number of recent hires.
Genus Law chief executive Judit Petho said: “David’s appointment strengthens our management team and will also help to develop our client base and proposition. On the back of a number of recent senior solicitor appointments, we now have a strong team of like-minded professionals with whom we can build Genus Law into the modern, full service, national corporate law firm we aspire to be.”
