London calling for Chesterfield sofa manufacturer

FAMILY-RUN firm Distinctive Chesterfields, is opening up a site at London’s Clapham Junction after high demand and international sales growth.

The husband-and-wife team of Steve and Claire Laidlaw who founded the company in Honly in 2007, have already expanded the business, with customers in America, Australia, South Korea, Japan and Sweden.

The south of England apparently has a sweet spot for the Chesterfield, and their second base will give customers a convenient base.

The site will be launching on 29 June, with a team of 20 upholsterers in West Yorkshire, eight office staff and more London-based interiors experts helping out.

Mr Laidlaw said: “The launch of the new showroom has been the business’ key priority for some time. We’re well aware of the demand for good quality, but equally great value Chesterfields, and we realise our West Yorkshire showroom is a little out of reach for London-based fans of the brand.”
