Appointments: Lake Legal; Treske; DigitalLawUK

LEEDS lawyer Jane Brown has been appointed to the committee of Young Resolution in West and North Yorkshire.
Young Resolution is a division of the family law body Resolution that promotes the organisation’s non-confrontational approach to family law issues amongst junior family law practitioners.
Ms Brown joined Lake Legal from the Harrogate office of Makin Dixon.
She said: “Lake Legal is quickly building a national reputation as a leading family law firm because we prioritise the best possible outcome for the client, and often this doesn’t mean going to court.
“Resolution is leading the industry by putting the emphasis firmly on the best interests of the family. As young lawyers it’s important that we lead the debate in the industry.”

FURNITURE and kitchen manufacturer Treske has boost its team with a trio of appointments.
Olivia Clark, Emily Bowes and Claire Pittham have all joined Treske, as the company aims to build on the growing demand for its products across the UK and abroad.
Ms Clark joins as projects and installations manager from James Brindley in Harrogate and Ms Bowes comes straight from Huddersfield University where she studied design.
Ms Pittham, who has moved from Arlington Interiors in Leeds after studying design at York College, joins Thirsk-based Treske as a furniture designer.
Owner and managing director Justin Bartlett said: “Their appointments come hard on the heels of the construction of a new extension and the revamping of our showrooms, which cost £200,000 and were the biggest investment in the company since it was formed 40 years ago.”

A LAW firm which launched in Barnsley just over a year ago has expanded into new offices and taken on a practice manager.
DigitalLawUK gives advice on digital issues from data protection and copyright to social media policies and Freedom of Information.
The company, which was set in the Digital Media Centre by solicitor Peter Wright and his wife, US attorney Heather Anson, in March 2014, has moved in to a bigger office in the same building and taken on practice manager Stephen Bailey.
The firm, which is being given free advice by support programme Enterprising Barnsley, run by Barnsley Council, expects turnover in the second year to be double the first and there are plans to take on apprentices in the autumn.
DigitalLawUK has clients across Europe, the US and Canada. About two-thirds are in the creative and digital industries sector, but the firm said it is taking on an increasing number in the financial and legal sectors.
