Following technical issues, microwave firm back in action

MICROWAVE electronics manufacturer Filtronic has secured a major order after resolving technical issues with its products.

The firm managed to act quickly and with a US operator, test and rectify technical issues with their integrated antenna product.

Now the firm’s wireless business have secured a £170,511 order from major telecoms industry OEN for integrated antennas.

The orders will allow Filtronic to bring the product into a volume manufacturing-ready state, and is already anticipating future orders.

Filtronic Broadband have also been selected to manufacture, on a build to print basis, E-band transceivers based on an alternate chipset.
