Appointments: Bondholders and Cartwright King

MARKETING organisation the Bondholders has appointed Anita Pace as chairperson, to oversee the promotion of the Humber.

Peter Aarosin handed over the reins to advisory board member Ms Pace as he announced that the North Lincolnshire Council had become the latest member of the Bondholders, completing the quartet of local authorities in the area to have joined.

Mr Aarosin said:”Our work to position the Humber as the UK’s Energy Estuary is paying dividends. For the first time we have been able to convey powerfully and convincingly the essence of our region’s economic proposition and elevate the Humber to a position of national and international importance.

Ms Pace is currently director of Media and Contact Centres for communications provider KC and has held a series of marketing and communications leadership positions with KC and its parent company KCom.

She will leave KC shortly to set up her own communications business based in Hull.

Ms Pace said: “I want to play a part in changing people’s perceptions of the area. I want to help build a positive image. I want to help make a difference.

“No other region has the assets we have. I believe that, with a shared vision and purpose, together with a can-do spirit and positive belief, we have the power between us to do something amazing and deliver this region the success it really deserves.”

LAW firm Cartwright King has expanded its team with the appointment of four senior solicitors.

Two departments, the child protection team and the matrimonial team have been established in the firm’s Sheffield offices.

The matrimonial team will consist of Emma Hubbard and Leanne Barton, whilst the child protection division will comprise of solicitors Paul Szabo and Kate Fitzpatrick, both approved specialists by the Law Society.

In addition to these appointments, Conor Maguire, lead solicitor in the Sheffield Court of Protection team has been made an associate at the firm.

Rupert Hawke, managing director of Cartwright King, commented: “As the number of teams at our Sheffield office grows, so does their reputation for their client-focussed handling of their cases; along with their straight forward and clear advice whilst striving for the best outcome for their clients.”

The firm, which recently relocated to Peel House on West Bar, employs 250 people.
