“They enable talented apprentices and committed employers to receive the recognition they deserve, drive up quality and encourage others to get involved.”

She continued: “I would like to congratulate all of the Yorkshire and Humber finalists and wish them all the best for the finals.”

Eleven regional ceremonies will take place across the country in October, and each ceremony will celebrate winners and highly commended entries in 10 categories.

This year’s National Apprenticeship Awards will see almost 200 companies and individuals competing for the prestigious accolades.

The 200 regional finalists fought off competition from over 1000 other entries made to the National Apprenticeship Service, which runs the awards.

After the regional ceremonies, the winners will progress to the next stage of the competition, where their applications will be assessed by a national judging panel.

The national finalists will be announced in early December and will be invited to a ceremony on January 26, 2016, at Grosvenor House, London.
