Firm foundations for residential agency after record year

RESIDENTIAL agency Titchmarsh & Co is reporting a record year as the housing market upturn continues.

The Leeds-based property consultants said it was “testament to improving market conditions” as they are set to reach £700,000 turnover, up 30% on last year.

It made a 40% increase in revenues for 2014.

Founded in 2008, the residential land and investment agency has completed a series of transactions, including a 696,960 sq ft site in Wakefield which will deliver 176 homes.

Matthew Bagley, director at Titchmarsh & Co, said: “Things are improving across the residential sector as a whole.

“The residential property market is enjoying increasing demand from local, regional and national house builders and residential investors alike.”

“We’ve seen growth not only as a business but also across the industry. The government is reliant on the private sector to deliver the majority of housing needed – both in Yorkshire and nationally – and we see it as a favourable time for landowners to consider the development potential of holdings and release their latent value.”

“We have witnessed an increase in tempo in the residential market over the last couple of years,” said Mr Bagley. “And in these exciting times we are well positioned to assist landowners throughout the region in realising the value of their assets”.
