Furniture makers HSL sitting comfortably as expansion plans accelerate

FURNITURE firm HSL Chairs is accelerating its expansion plans after reaching a milestone with its 50th store opening this month.
The Batley-based firm opened in Kings Lynn in Norfolk this week, and is now aiming to open two stores every month from November.
The firm produces specialist furniture from its head office in Batley, where is has been located for more than 40 years
HSL now employs more than 400 staff with 50 stores around the UK.
Chris Hudson, managing director at HSL, comments: “This 50th store is a real milestone for us and is testament to the hard work of our staff – especially our in-store comfort specialists.
“We pride ourselves on offering genuine, trustworthy advice and have so much fantastic feedback from our customers who have been offered advice and guidance by our staff that has helped them live so much more comfortably.
“This Kings Lynn store is hopefully the start of another exciting 12 months at HSL, but our fundamental values and beliefs are always front of mind. We’re dedicated to improving lives and have introduced an initiative where all our staff who have worked with us for 12 months are given a HSL chair to donate to a family, friend or even a stranger – in order to support this ethos.”
The next HSL stores set to open in 2015 include Wellingborough, Edinburgh and Dundee.
