Seven directors and a partner promoted at KPMG

THE Leeds office of KPMG has been boosted by the appointment of seven directors and a partner.

Steve Simkins has been made a partner in the latest round of promotions.

As KPMG’s UK head of public sector pensions, Mr Simkins leads a national team of 30 staff.

Since joining KPMG in 2007, he has also helped build KPMG’s Yorkshire pensions team. He joins Giles Taylor, corporate finance and enterprise partner, to become the second new partner promoted in Leeds in the last six months.

KPMG has also announced seven director promotions across Yorkshire including Daniel Broad in the pensions team, Sharon Gladish win public sector restructuring, James Groot in restructuring, Andrew Johnson in people services and Kate L’Estrange in the audit department. They will be joined by Sue Richardson in transaction services and Mike Shimwell of pensions.

KPMG promoted a total of 62 people throughout the Leeds office in its most recent financial year.
