Hotel snapped up by London group

LONDON group James Edward Hotel has snapped up a Rotherham hotel in an undisclosed deal.

James Edward Hotel was incorporated in July this year by director Rashid Hussain, a hotelier with several other hotel and leisure businesses.

The Best Western Consort Hotel at Thurcroft in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, was sold through hotel agents Colliers International on behalf of The Royal Bank of Scotland.

The hotel has 28 bedrooms, bar and restaurant facilities and a banqueting suite for 250 people.

James Edward Hotel, based in central London, also owns the 23 bedroom New County Hotel, Perth, Scotland.
