Leeds beauty entrepreneurs roll out salons across the UK

LEEDS entrepreneurs Debra Lister and Sara Turner set up Cryotherapy UK in June and are aiming on rolling out nationwide.

The company, which provides beauty treatments using non-invasive liquid nitrogen, has already launched in Liverpool and Cheshire as part of their plans.

Cryotherapy UK now has six salons, with other sites in Leeds city centre, Roundhay, Manchester, and Wetherby.

It is now capitalising on the growing trend from Hollywood of using the cold treatment for skin tightening facials, acne treatment, cellulite reduction and sports injuries.

The entrepreneurial duo are planning on opening 10 further Cryotherapy clinics by the end of 2016.

The company has also signed a deal with Superleague rugby team, Wigan Warriors to provide its players with Cryotherapy treatment and plans to target further sports clubs with its healing technology.

Cryotherapy shocks the nervous system with extreme cold to stimulate the body to go into recovery mode. This reportedly increases the metabolic rate and sending nutrient and oxygen-rich blood to problem areas. The company has invested thousands in a series of machines that harness this technology.

Debra Lister co-founder of Cryotherapy UK said: “Cryotherapy is non-evasive but can give deliver similar effects to cosmetic surgery – we believe there is a big market for customers looking for lasting results without the expense and risk of invasive treatments.

“The results are incredible but the challenge has always been raising awareness of the treatment – celebs and athletes have been using it for years but it’s still relatively new to the UK general public.

“Our openings in Yorkshire and the North West are performing really well and we’ve invested a lot of time and money into the best technology and training to get it right. It’s such a new treatment so the next natural step was to expand Cryotherapy UK across the UK.

“The openings in Liverpool and Cheshire are going really well and a London launch is planned very soon.”
