Software testing companies merge to create 350-strong team

A LEEDS software testing company has merged with a southern competitor to create a 350-strong workforce.
The Test People, which is based in Leeds’ Albion Court and has offices in Manchester and London, has joined forces with Centre4 Testing, which currently operates from Brighton and London.
Gav Winter, managing director of The Test People, said: “The Test People has always had the desire to become the UK market leader in software testing so we couldn’t be more excited about the opportunities that our combined organisation creates.”
Private equity firm Livingbridge, which announced its investment in Centre4 Testing in March, helped to structure the merger.
The merged company will be led by Centre4 Testing’s chief executive Miles Worne, with existing directors from both companies combining in the new leadership team.
“Our merger brings together two strong companies and two outstanding and highly compatible teams,” said Mr Worne.
“In doing this we are creating the leading independent UK software testing company which can unlock the huge potential of our clients, our markets and the potential of our people.”
