Events company dines out as turnover surges

LEEDS event planning and catering company Dine has posted tasty turnover figures of £2.37m after seeing a resurgence in corporate hospitality.

The results, for the year ending October 2015, show that the growth of its catering division Dine Events was partly behind the strong performance.

It achieved turnover of £1.15m and “enhanced profitability” according to the company.

The success of its flagship venue The Mansion in Roundhay Park, which was developed in conjunction with Leeds City Council also helped the company.

Dine managing director Daniel Gill said: “As the business world experiences an upswing in confidence, professional companies are once again turning to corporate entertainment as an effective way to build and reinforce important business relationships

“Despite a tight marketplace, the Dine Events team, supported by a targeted marketing and PR campaign, proved successful in attracting corporate business with our flexible range of services and venues. Our clients value the fact that they can source everything from a high-quality meeting buffet to a top end product launch from the Dine team, who provide an expert venue finding and planning service in parallel with excellent food and service”.

“We are targeting growth over the next year with exciting expansion plans which include new services and strategic partnerships with some key venues in the region”.

Established in 1998, Dine caters for more than 100 corporate events and 200 weddings a year, with clients ranging from English Heritage and the National Trust to the owners of some of the UK’s notable private houses.
