Appointments: Jaywing, Barclays, Glenbrae, Calbee UK

DATA company Jaywing has appointed David Wood as chief creative director, a newly-created post.
Mr Wood was moved from his former position as managing director, and is now responsible for the overall creative direction of the agency, which counts E.ON, PepsiCo, Castrol, Sky, first direct, Pets at Home and Ann Summers among its clients.
He will lead the creative community across Jaywing and Epiphany’s digital, content and brand communications teams and continue to work closely with the rest of Jaywing’s senior management team to deliver the long-term creative strategy for the agency.

BUSINESS banking manager Tom Cawkwell has joined the Barclays team covering the Yorkshire coastal area.
He will be responsible for looking after the needs of local businesses with a turnover of up to £5m in the Scarborough, Whitby and Bridlington area.
Mr Cawkwell has over eight years’ experience in business and relationship management for Barclays, and recently has been supporting SME businesses in the Hull area.

MANUFACTURER Glenbrae has announced the appointment of brand director Alan Purdie, who joins with extensive experience in the golfing industry.

THE European subsidiary of Calbee UK, the £1.2bn Japanese savoury snacking manufacturer, has expanded its Leeds team with the appointment of Sarah Brown.
Ms Brown becomes senior brand manager for Yushoi Snapea rice sticks.
She has more than eight years’ experience as a brand manager having worked in the confectionery market prior to her appointment.
