Motor auction group invests £500,000 in HQ
MOTOR auction group G3 Remarketing is investing £500,000 in its Leeds headquarters after a record year.
The company hit the £4m turnover mark in 2015, up from £3.2m the year before, posting profits of £900,000,
G3 has started 2016 off with a bang, announcing major expansion plans.
G3 has now invested in a 174,240 sq ft site which it is redeveloping into an auction hall with a 30,000 sq ft auditorium and the capacity to store 200 vehicles.
An office expansion, doubling its size, will accommodate the growing team, which director Matt Dale said they intended on doubling in the coming year.
Additionally, a £100,000 inspection and imaging studio is being constructed for the firm, which is expanding from online into physical auctions.
G3’s joint director Matt Dale said: “The company was founded because there was an evident need for a high quality, independent, live online car auction in the industry.
“We’ve perfected the technology for this type of trade, and worked hard to raise the bar, ensuring every vendor and buyer is looked after from start to finish. We’re the only vehicle remarketing firm to do full audio walk around inspections of the cars, for instance.
“But we’ve been increasingly approached by buyers and vendors with part exchange vehicles up to the value of £5,000, who seek the same quality of service but still want to see, hear, touch and smell the cars. Given we’re ideally situated off the M62 and M1, we’re therefore extending our offering to echo the same level of standards at physical auctions too.”
“However, it’s very exciting to be able to support a new pool of customers, whilst doubling our workforce by the end of January and then again within the following 12 months.”
G3 was established in 2009, employs 22 people and specialises in online vehicle remarketing. It is part of the G3 Group of companies, which cover pool fleet management, software solutions and asset management.
