Two board members step down from board of AIM-listed Xeros

MANUFACTURER Xeros Technology, which develops polymer bead cleaning systems, has announced its intentions to “evolve” the composition of its board.

Two board members have stepped down: Maciek Drozdz and chief science officer Dr Steve Jenkins.

Mr Drozdz has been a non-executive director since 2013, and will be stepping down with immediate effect.

Dr Jenkins will continue as the company’s chief science officer and as part of the executive management team, and will remain a director.

The £40m share placing announced in November 2015, was for new and existing institutional investors to help fund its expansion plans.

These changes follow the announcement of chief executive Bill Westwater’s resignation in September last year, with cleantech entrepreneur Mark Nichols taking the helm.

John Samuel, chairman of Xeros, said: “I would like to thank both Maciek and Steve for their contributions to our Board. As the representative of one of our initial investors Maciek has contributed greatly to our progress.

“Steve is stepping down from PLC duties to enable him to focus fully on leading the successful delivery of our scientific development programmes.

“These changes are in accordance with our well-publicised strategy to evolve the composition of the Board and we expect to announce the appointment of additional non-executive directors in due course.”
